Fully threaded rods for assembly connections
DIN 975 threaded rods are headless fasteners with a metric thread along their entire length. Used with matching nuts and washers, they allow components to be joined, secured and adjusted within an assembly.
The range includes steel and stainless steel A2 and A4. Standard supply lengths are 1 m, 2 m and 3 m; we also supply custom lengths for larger-volume orders. The specific combination depends on thread size, material, property class and surface finish.
Materials and steel property classes
- Steel 4.8
- One of the basic steel options. Select the size and property class according to the requirements of the designed joint.
- Steel 8.8
- Another basic steel option for joints requiring this property class. Higher strength alone does not determine suitability for a particular application.
- Other steel property classes
- Classes 10.9 and 12.9 also appear in the catalogue range, depending on size and configuration. Not every diameter and length is listed in every class.
- Stainless steel A2 and A4
- Two material options for applications requiring stainless steel. Selection depends on the environment, corrosion exposure and joint requirements; neither option is universally suitable for all chemical environments.
Surface finish
Steel rods are distinguished as plain finish, zinc-plated or hot-dip galvanized. Finish is specified separately from material and property class. Plain finish does not mean black oxide.
We will check the finish available for your required size when you enquire. For hot-dip galvanized rods, verify nut and thread compatibility against the documentation for the actual components. Compatibility with any ordinary nut cannot be assumed.
Lengths of 1 m, 2 m and 3 m
- 1 m
- 1 000 mm
- 2 m
- 2 000 mm
- 3 m
- 3 000 mm
- Rod length
- The overall length from one end to the other; the rod has no head. Write the size as thread × length, for example M10 × 1 000 mm.
These are the basic lengths of the product group. Not every thread size is listed in all three lengths, materials, property classes and finishes.
DIN 975 configurations
Select the required steel property class or stainless steel option. Lengths of 1 m, 2 m and 3 m describe options within each group; we will check the specific thread size, length and finish against your requirements.
| Configuration | Material | Catalogue lengths |

| 8.8 | Steel | 1 m, 2 m, 3 m |
| 10.9 | Steel | 1 m, 2 m, 3 m |
| 12.9 | Steel | 1 m, 2 m, 3 m |

The overview shows catalogue options, not current JENPEX stock. Availability depends on thread size, length, material, property class and surface finish.
Custom lengths are also available for larger-volume orders. Include the thread size, required length and quantity in your enquiry.
Custom-Length Threaded Rods
For larger-volume orders, we supply threaded rods in custom lengths. Send us the required thread size, length, material or property class, surface finish and quantity. Technical feasibility, minimum order quantity and lead time are assessed individually.
If relevant, include the length tolerance, required end finishing, a technical drawing and details of repeat orders.
Enquire about custom lengths →Applications and assembly selection
Typical applications include engineering and assembly joints, suspension and support assemblies, equipment fastening, servicing and maintenance. For structural connections, the rod and associated components must be selected according to the design.
For chemical anchoring, use only a rod suitable for the specific approved anchoring system and its conditions. The DIN 975 designation alone does not confirm compatibility with every chemical anchor.
Before assembly, check thread, material, property class and finish compatibility with the matching nuts and washers. Enquire separately about a specific fine-pitch or left-hand thread configuration.
